TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school based in South Birmingham, supporting children and young people aged 4 - 18 with SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, autism and complex needs. The school provides a supportive environment focused on meeting the individual needs of every pupil.
The school is looking to take on a Lunchtime Supervisor on a long-term basis, working 1.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. The successful Lunchtime Supervisor will support pupils throughout the lunchtime period, helping with supervision, promoting their safety and wellbeing, and providing appropriate support to children with SLD, autism and complex needs.
The successful Lunchtime Supervisor will have:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SLD, autism and/or complex needs
- Experience working within a school, SEND or care environment
- A good understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- A patient and caring approach
- Confidence supporting children with a range of additional needs
- A reliable and adaptable attitude
