The school is looking to appoint a Lead Design and Technology Teacher on a long‑term basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate. The successful Lead Design and Technology Teacher will provide strategic leadership across the department, deliver engaging lessons, monitor student progress and attainment, and support colleagues through mentoring, coaching and collaborative planning while contributing to the wider school vision.

The successful Lead Design and Technology Teacher will have:

  • QTS with experience teaching Design and Technology in a UK secondary school
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and challenging Design and Technology lessons
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
  • Leadership experience or the ability to demonstrate strong leadership potential
  • Commitment to raising standards and improving student outcomes
  • Strong communication, collaboration and mentoring skills
