Long term Role | Full Time 8.30am - 3.30pm term time | Start ASAP

Are you a patient, resilient, and caring individual with a passion for supporting children who need a little extra help to thrive? We are seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in a mainstream primary school setting. This role is ideal for someone experienced and confident in supporting children with SEMH, behavioural needs, and Autism, who is committed to building strong, consistent relationships and making a real difference.

About the Role
  • Provide individualised 1:1 support for a child in Key Stage 1
  • Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement with learning
  • Implement strategies to support SEMH and Autism-related needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school team
  • Help create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support both academic progress and social development
  • Monday to Friday Full-time school hours
  • Long-term position
Qualifications
  • Has experience supporting children with SEMH, behavioural needs, and/or Autism
  • Is calm, patient, and consistent in their approach
  • Can build positive, trusting relationships
  • Is resilient and confident managing challenging behaviour
  • Works well as part of a team and follows behaviour support plans
  • Is committed to long-term support and continuity
