TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEMH school in Kings Norton, supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs alongside autism. The school promotes a nurturing and structured environment, focused on building trust, resilience and positive relationships to support student progress.
The school is looking to take on a full-time English Teacher on a long‑term basis, with the potential to lead to a permanent position for the right English Teacher. The successful English Teacher will be working with Key Stage 3 students, delivering engaging English lessons while supporting pupils with SEMH needs and autism, managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment.
Qualifications
- QTS with an English specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
- Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 / KS3
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs and autism
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- A can‑do attitude and commitment to supporting vulnerable learners
