Hours: 9:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

TeacherActive are proud to be working with a lovely Nursery School in South Birmingham, who are looking for a caring and reliable Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on, practical support and understands the importance of creating a positive start for every child.

The Role:

  • Supporting children during lunchtime routines and snack times
  • Assisting with personal care, including changing nappies and maintaining hygiene standards
  • Helping to set up and tidy away learning and play areas
  • Providing general classroom support to staff and children
  • Promoting a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has at least 6 months of experience working with children in the UK (Early Years preferred)
  • Is comfortable with personal care and understands the needs of nursery-aged children
  • Holds a Paediatric First Aid certificate (or is willing to obtain one)
  • Holds a current DBS on the update service or is willing to apply for a new one
  • Can provide two professional references from recent childcare-related roles
  • Is reliable, proactive, and friendly with a genuine passion for supporting young learners
  • Can commit to 9:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday, during term time
