TeacherActive are proud to be working with a lovely Nursery School in South Birmingham, who are looking for a caring and reliable Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on, practical support and understands the importance of creating a positive start for every child.
The Role:
- Supporting children during lunchtime routines and snack times
- Assisting with personal care, including changing nappies and maintaining hygiene standards
- Helping to set up and tidy away learning and play areas
- Providing general classroom support to staff and children
- Promoting a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has at least 6 months of experience working with children in the UK (Early Years preferred)
- Is comfortable with personal care and understands the needs of nursery-aged children
- Holds a Paediatric First Aid certificate (or is willing to obtain one)
- Holds a current DBS on the update service or is willing to apply for a new one
- Can provide two professional references from recent childcare-related roles
- Is reliable, proactive, and friendly with a genuine passion for supporting young learners
- Can commit to 9:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday, during term time
