Rated ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED, this smaller, community‑focused school is committed to delivering a first‑class education, promoting inclusivity, and equipping students with the modern digital and technological skills needed for future success. The school is looking to appoint a dedicated DT Teacher on a long‑term temporary basis from September 2026.

The successful DT Teacher will be responsible for teaching Design Technology with a focus on Resistant Materials across KS3 and KS4, planning and delivering engaging practical lessons, monitoring student progress, and maintaining high standards of achievement and classroom management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • QTS with a Design Technology specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
  • Experience teaching Design Technology and Resistant Materials up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
  • Strong knowledge of workshop health and safety procedures
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • The ability to assess, monitor and support student progress effectively
  • A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
