We are currently seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to work in a school setting in Birmingham, starting after February half term.

Location: Birmingham

Start date: After February half term

Pay: Up to £160 per day (DOE)

Contract: Ongoing / temporary (depending on school needs)

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and improving pupil attendance and punctuality
  • Maintaining accurate attendance records
  • Following up on absences and liaising with parents/carers
  • Working closely with senior leaders, pastoral teams, and external agencies
  • Supporting whole-school attendance strategies and interventions

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an Attendance Officer (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of school attendance procedures and safeguarding
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive situations professionally
