Overview
West Midlands / temporary / £160 - 210 per day dependent on experience. TeacherActive is proud to partner with a fantastic SEND provision based in Selly Oak. The school follows a varied curriculum to suit the needs of the young people. Underpinning this is the consistent teaching of people skills and guidance to assist children in developing their social, emotional, and personal abilities. Their culture is one of patience, inclusivity, and helping children and young people with disabilities to achieve their full potential whilst promoting independence.
The school is looking to take on a long-term Art Teacher immediately on a full-time basis. The successful SEND teacher will be working directly with students across all Key Stages, whose ages range from 11 – 19 years. Most of the young people are diagnosed with either Autism / ASD, Learning Difficulties / LD, or Attention Deficit Disorder / ADD.

Qualifications
- QTS (or the equivalent)
- Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, specifically ASD, SLD, PMLD, ADD, ADHD
- Experience supporting children through therapeutic practices
