About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Biology across KS3, KS4, and KS5, delivering high-quality lessons that engage, challenge, and motivate students. You will be involved in planning, preparation, marking, and departmental activities, contributing to the continued success of the science faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Biology from KS3 to KS5, including GCSE and A-Level
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons
  • Mark and assess student work in line with school and exam board expectations
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of resources
  • Support student progress, offering guidance and intervention as needed
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the science department and across the school

Candidate Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a degree in Biology or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Biology up to A-Level
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
