TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Local Authority to recruit a dedicated Primary Home Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition for a primary‑aged child in Stourport. The Local Authority is looking to appoint a Primary Home Tutor on a long‑term basis from September, providing 15 hours of tuition per week. The successful Primary Home Tutor will plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of a child with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), adapting teaching strategies to promote progress, independence and positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities and requirements:
- QTS or relevant UK recognised teaching qualification
- Experience supporting primary‑aged children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Experience delivering personalised or 1:1 learning programmes
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A patient, adaptable and compassionate approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and families
