The successful ICT Teacher (Primary) will deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons that make technology accessible, purposeful and enjoyable. Teaching will cover key areas including coding, computational thinking, digital literacy, online safety and the confident use of a range of digital tools.
You will design practical and imaginative learning experiences that allow pupils to experiment, collaborate and solve problems. Lessons should encourage creativity while ensuring children understand how to use technology safely, responsibly and effectively.
Working alongside class teachers and the wider leadership team, you will contribute to the continued development of the school’s computing provision, assess pupil progress and help embed technology across the wider curriculum. The appointed ICT Teacher (Primary) will be energetic, knowledgeable and committed to helping pupils develop skills that will prepare them for an increasingly digital future.
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status and experience teaching within a UK school
- Strong knowledge of the primary computing curriculum
- Confidence teaching coding, digital literacy, computational thinking and online safety
- Excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills
- A creative and practical approach to planning and delivering lessons
- A genuine enthusiasm for technology and primary education
