Behaviour Mentor Education Support Role
Location: Various schools across Southampton
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner for the right candidate)
Salary: GBP85.00 GBP110.00 per day (dependent on experience)

TeacherActive is currently recruiting for Behaviour Mentors to work in schools across the local area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have experience supporting young people in any capacity whether that s in youth clubs, sports teams, outreach, or alternative education settings.
About the Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you\’ll play a vital role in helping students manage their emotions, build confidence, and re-engage with their learning. You\’ll work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and other professionals to support pupils who may struggle with behaviour, social skills, or emotional regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
• Helping students overcome barriers to learning
• Working collaboratively with school staff to implement tailored support strategies
What We re Looking For:
• Experience working with young people youth work, sports coaching, support work, outreach, or similar
• A calm, patient, and resilient attitude
• The ability to de-escalate challenging situations professionally
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young people
