Job Description

Job Title: Behaviour Mentor\\n\\nLocation: Derby\\n\\nContract Type: Temporary, Full-time/Part-Time \\n\\nSalary: £85- £110  day (depending on experience)\\n\\nWe are currently recruiting for a Temporary Behaviour Mentor to work with children and young people with challenging behaviour in a school setting in Derby. This role is temporary and full-time, with an immediate start date.\\n\\nAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with teaching staff to support the education and development of children and young people with challenging behaviour. Your main responsibilities will include:\\n\\nProviding 1-2-1 support to students with challenging behaviour, using effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and encourage participation in learning activities\\nCollaborating with teaching staff and external professionals to develop tailored learning plans for students, monitoring progress and behaviour, and reporting any concerns\\nSupporting the social and emotional development of students, promoting self-esteem and confidence\\nEncouraging and motivating students to engage in learning, providing additional support where necessary\\nParticipating in training and development opportunities to further enhance your knowledge and skills\\nRequirements:\\n\\nPrevious experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour is essential\\nExcellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students\\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others\\nA patient and resilient attitude, with the ability to remain calm under pressure\\nA relevant qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or a related field is desirable\\nThis is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with challenging behaviour.
