The school is looking to take on a Phonics Specialist Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from September, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will work across Key Stage 1 / KS1, providing targeted phonics support and helping pupils develop their reading, decoding and communication skills.
The successful Phonics Specialist Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience supporting phonics within a primary school setting
- Experience working with children across Key Stage 1 / KS1
- A strong understanding of phonics and early reading
- The ability to provide engaging individual and small group support
- A patient and positive approach to supporting children's learning
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
