Are you calm, organised and confident working with young people? Can you follow detailed instructions and maintain concentration throughout an examination? TeacherActive is recruiting reliable Exam Invigilators to support schools and colleges throughout upcoming mock and formal examination periods. Previous experience is welcome but not essential, as guidance and training will be provided. The role will include:
- Preparing examination rooms and checking seating arrangements
- Distributing and collecting examination papers
- Supervising candidates throughout examinations
- Ensuring examination regulations are followed
- Responding appropriately to candidate queries
- Reporting any irregularities to the Exams Officer
- Escorting candidates when required
- Maintaining a calm, professional and secure examination environment
The successful Exam Invigilator will:
- Be punctual, reliable and highly organised
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Remain calm and alert during lengthy examination sessions
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Follow instructions and examination procedures precisely
- Be available for morning and/or afternoon sessions
- Have a good understanding of safeguarding
- Be willing to complete the required vetting and compliance checks
