Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant or someone with a strong background supporting children in a school setting? Are you looking for a flexible role where you can choose the days you work? Do you enjoy supporting pupils to access learning in a calm, positive environment?
The Learning Support Assistant role will involve supporting pupils in the classroom, either on a one-to-one basis or within small groups, when regular staff are absent or additional support is required. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to help pupils stay engaged, follow routines, and access learning. This is a flexible role that suits individuals who are patient, reliable, and confident supporting children with a range of needs.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting
- Confidence supporting pupils both one-to-one and in small groups
- Ability to follow guidance from the class teacher and SENCO
- A calm, patient, and supportive approach
- Flexibility to work across different schools and year groups
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
