Do you have experience supporting children with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours? Are you a resilient and patient SEND TA who can build positive relationships with pupils? Are you confident working as a classroom assistant and supporting children to engage with their learning?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with SEND settings across Oxfordshire, supporting children who require additional help with their social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). The setting provides a supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to engage positively with their education and develop their confidence.
TeacherActive are looking to take on SEND TA’s on a full-time, long-term basis, as well as those who are looking for short term day-to-day from September. The successful SEND TA’s will work as classroom assistants, supporting pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours while assisting teaching staff with learning, behaviour management and engagement throughout the school day.
The successful SEND TA will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND / SEMH needs
- Experience supporting children who display challenging behaviours
- Confidence working within a classroom environment
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to get stuck in
