Do you have experience supporting children and young people with SEMH needs? Are you a resilient and compassionate SEND Teacher with strong behaviour management skills? Do you hold QTS and have a passion for supporting students to reach their full potential?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision based in Northumberland, supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The setting provides a nurturing and supportive environment, placing a strong focus on emotional wellbeing, positive relationships and personalised learning to help students succeed both academically and socially.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teacher on a short-term basis, with the opportunity to progress into a long-term role for the right SEND Teacher. The successful SEND Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting students with SEMH needs and promoting a positive and structured learning environment across the provision.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

  • QTS
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • A proactive and positive attitude
