Are you looking for flexible, seasonal work in schools? Are you calm, attentive and confident following formal procedures? Can you travel reliably to schools within your local area of Wiltshire? TeacherActive is recruiting Exam Invigilators to support secondary schools and colleges throughout Wiltshire during mock examinations and formal examination periods. Assignments may range from individual examination sessions to regular work across several weeks. You can tell us which locations and sessions work for you, and we will aim to offer suitable local opportunities. Previous experience is helpful but not essential. Full instructions will be provided by the school before each examination session.
The role will involve:
- Preparing examination rooms and candidate desks
- Checking seating plans and examination materials
- Inviting candidates into the room and explaining procedures
- Distributing and collecting examination papers
- Supervising candidates throughout the examination
- Ensuring examination regulations are followed
- Reporting concerns or irregularities to the Exams Officer
- Maintaining confidentiality and the security of examination materials
- Supporting candidates appropriately without disrupting examination conditions
The successful applicant will:
- Be punctual, reliable and organised
- Have strong attention to detail
- Remain alert and focused throughout examination sessions
- Communicate clearly with staff and students
- Follow formal instructions and procedures
- Be available for morning and/or afternoon sessions
- Be able to travel reliably to their selected Wiltshire locations
- Understand the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality
- Be willing to complete the necessary compliance checks
