TeacherActive are recruiting for a strong, experienced Teaching Assistant to work in an STF Unit within a fantastic partner school in Swansea. This is a challenging but highly rewarding role. You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs, who may display challenging behaviour, struggle with emotional regulation, or require consistent 1:1 and small group support throughout the school day.
This role requires someone who can:
- Remain calm under pressure
- Think on their feet
- Use initiative and strong behaviour management strategies
- Build trusting relationships with pupils
- Support both academic and emotional development
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting children with ALN and challenging behaviour
- Experience working in schools, specialist provisions, or similar settings
- A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive, resilient, and confident attitude
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
