Salary: Β£92.65 - Β£110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a lovely secondary school in South Gloucestershire that is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. The school has a welcoming and inclusive ethos, where staff work collaboratively to provide students with the support they need to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

The school is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right Learning Support Assistant. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to provide classroom support for identified students, assist with adaptive teaching strategies, support students during break and lunchtime where required, maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with colleagues and external agencies, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the secondary school.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a secondary school
  • A caring, patient and supportive approach to helping students achieve their potential
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to work alongside teachers to support adaptive teaching within the classroom
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
  • A proactive 'can-do' attitude and willingness to contribute to the wider school community
