Are you an enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistant who can create a positive and engaging learning environment?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Welsh-medium primary school in the Llanfyllin / Llansantffraid area, who are looking to appoint a Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant. The school provides a Welsh-speaking learning environment, supporting pupils in developing their confidence, communication skills and academic abilities through the medium of Welsh.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, starting immediately. The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will be working across the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 / KS2, supporting the class teacher with daily activities, delivering engaging learning opportunities and providing additional support to pupils both individually and in small groups.
Responsibilities
- Fluent Welsh language skills, both spoken and written
- Experience supporting children within a primary school setting
- Knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales and experience working across Foundation Phase and KS2
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A positive, patient and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
