LEVEL 3 TEACHING ASSISTANT QUALIFICATION IS REQUIRED
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of primary schools across Wakefield and surrounding areas, supporting them with their staffing requirements.
We are looking for enthusiastic, proactive and reliable Level 3 SEND Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Whether you are looking for flexible day-to-day supply, short-term placements or a longer-term opportunity, we have a range of roles available to suit your experience and availability.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
- Support children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development.
- Help to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff.
- Adapt to different school settings, routines and individual pupil requirements.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Have a minimum of 6 months' experience working in a primary school or SEND setting.
- Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
- Have experience supporting children with SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties or additional communication needs.
- Be patient, adaptable and confident supporting pupils with a range of individual learning needs.
