TeacherActive is proud to be working with an FE College in Swansea that is looking for a reliable, organised and practical Caretaker to join their team.
The College is committed to providing safe, secure and well‑maintained premises for its students, staff and visitors.
As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for a range of general maintenance, security and caretaking duties across the College estate. This will include carrying out temporary repairs, key holder responsibilities, porterage, room set‑ups, monitoring facilities and supporting emergency evacuation procedures.
The successful Caretaker will have:
- NVQ Level 3 in a relevant craft or equivalent experience
- Previous experience working as a Caretaker
- Knowledge of COSHH, Health & Safety and manual handling procedures, or willingness to undertake relevant training
- Full driving licence and ability to travel between College sites
- The ability to work independently, use initiative and complete tasks in an organised and methodical manner
- Reliable, adaptable and self‑motivated approach
- Good customer care and teamwork skills
- A valid DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new DBS
