The ideal Geogrphy Teacher will have an outgoing personality and knowledge of georgraphy with a high standard of classroom management, in order to keep students on task. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working in a school environment.
Responsibilities of the Geography Teacher
- Deliver secondary subjects to ages 11-16
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and cover teaching using available resources within the classroom
- Promote and push the students to achieve the expectations set in the absence of the teacher
To be considered for this position of Cover Supervisor you must have:
- Experience of group management of 11-18 year olds
- Excellent and proven behaviour management experience
- Shown commitment to learning and development of pupils
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and students
Examples of previously suitable candidates:
- Teaching assistants with Geography experience
- After school co-ordinators
- Community Sport Leaders
- Undergraduates, looking for school experience
