This is an excellent opportunity for a Sports Coach who is passionate about working with young people and using

sport, physical activity and positive engagement to help children build confidence, develop social skills and achieve their potential.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in

sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, activity leadership or working with children in an educational setting.

The Role

As a Sports Coach, you will work closely with children both inside and outside of the classroom, using your coaching skills to encourage participation, teamwork, positive behaviour and engagement.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering and supporting engaging sports and physical activities
• Working with children on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Encouraging teamwork, communication and confidence
• Supporting children to remain engaged and motivated throughout the school day
• Acting as a positive role model and mentor
• Supporting teachers and other staff within the classroom when required
• Using positive behaviour-management strategies
• Helping children develop resilience, independence and social skills
• Creating a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all pupils

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience coaching or working with children and young people
• Has a background in sport, coaching, PE, fitness, youth work or mentoring
• Is energetic, confident and enthusiastic
• Can build positive relationships with children
• Has strong communication and behaviour-management skillsIs patient, resilient and adaptable
• Is comfortable working with children who may require additional support
• Is passionate about helping young people develop both personally and academically
• Sports coaching qualifications are desirable, but candidates with strong practical experience working with children are also encouraged to apply.
