Summary

The school offers a supportive teaching and learning environment, with a committed team of staff, a modern practical facility and a strong focus on professional development. The school is looking to appoint a dedicated DT Teacher on a full-time, permanent basis from January 2027, teaching Design Technology across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful DT Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively and supporting students in developing their technical knowledge, creativity and practical skills.
What we're looking for
- Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
- A relevant degree or specialism in Design Technology
- Experience teaching Design Technology across KS3 and KS4
- Strong knowledge of the Design Technology curriculum and practical classroom safety
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A positive, enthusiastic approach with a commitment to raising student achievement
