TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Sale that supports children and young people across Key Stage 2 / KS2 to Key Stage 4 / KS4. The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment for pupils with a range of additional needs, including PMLD and Autism.
The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils with PMLD and Autism, working alongside teaching staff to provide individualised support, encourage engagement and help pupils access learning and develop their independence.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- Experience supporting pupils with PMLD and/or Autism
- A patient, caring and resilient approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A flexible and adaptable approach to supporting individual needs
