TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school based in Nottingham, which caters for children and young people aged 3-16 years old with a variety of behaviours and SEND. The school provides a specialist learning environment where pupils receive support tailored to their individual educational, social and emotional needs
. The successful Behavioural Teaching Assistant will support pupils with Autism / ASD, helping to manage challenging behaviours, encourage positive engagement in learning and provide consistent support both inside and outside the classroom.

Requirements
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience working within SEND settings
- Experience supporting children and young people with Autism / ASD
- Experience managing challenging behaviour and implementing positive behaviour management strategies
- Knowledge of SEND support strategies and an understanding of pupils' individual learning needs
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for supporting young people
