Nursery Manager
TeacherActive is recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to join a day nursery in Gateshead, supporting children aged 0-5 years. The setting provides an opportunity to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment where children can learn, explore and develop through the EYFS framework.
This is a permanent Nursery Manager opportunity starting in January 2027, offering a salary of £26,000 - £30,000 per annum. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, lead and support practitioners, ensure compliance with safeguarding and Ofsted requirements, and maintain excellent relationships with parents, carers and staff.
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
- Previous experience in nursery management or a senior leadership role within an Early Years setting
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
- Experience managing staff, supporting development and maintaining high standards of childcare
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
- A positive, proactive and nurturing approach to supporting children and staff
