The school is looking to appoint a dedicated ALN Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful ALN Learning Support Assistant will work within the specialist provision, supporting secondary-aged students with a range of additional learning needs through tailored learning activities, classroom support and positive behaviour management.
The successful ALN Learning Support Assistant will have:
- A relevant Teaching Assistant or ALN qualification is desirable
- Experience supporting children or young people with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
- Experience working with secondary-aged students
- An understanding of positive behaviour management strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting students
