TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision on the outskirts of Bristol that supports children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. The setting provides a structured and nurturing environment, focusing on therapeutic support, strong relationships and helping pupils develop confidence, resilience and the skills needed to succeed.
The school is looking to appoint a SEND English Teacher on a full‑time, long term basis with the opportunity to go permanent following a qualifying period. The successful SEND English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering personalised English lessons to pupils with SEMH and additional needs, using a flexible and child‑centred approach to support both academic progress and emotional development.
Qualifications- QTS
- Experience teaching English across Key Stages
- Strong experience working with SEND, particularly SEMH and challenging behaviour
- Experience planning and delivering tailored and personalised lessons
- The ability to build strong relationships and engage pupils effectively
- A committed, resilient and adaptable approach
