TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Wakefield who are looking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.
The school is looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide day-to-day or long-term cover across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2. The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will support phonics and guided reading, work with individuals and small groups, and provide 1:1 SEND support where necessary to help pupils access their learning.
The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will have:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience supporting pupils within a primary school
- Experience supporting phonics and guided reading
- Experience providing 1:1 SEND support is desirable
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A patient, adaptable and supportive approach
