TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Alternative Provision based in Wakefield, supporting students who display challenging behaviour and require additional support with their education. The provision is looking for a committed Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant who can help create a positive and supportive learning environment.
The provision is looking to take on an Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant on either a long-term or short-term basis, depending on your availability. The successful Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant will support students with challenging behaviour, helping them engage with their learning while maintaining clear boundaries and promoting positive behaviour.
The successful Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour
- Experience working within an Alternative Provision, PRU or similar setting is desirable
- Strong behaviour management skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with young people
- A resilient, patient and adaptable approach
- A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to get stuck in
