TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream school in Sunderland to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant. The school supports children with a range of additional needs and is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent and positive support.
The school is looking to take on an SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work 1-2-1 and with small groups of children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH, supporting their learning, engagement and development.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience supporting children with SEN
- Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD and/or SEMH
- Confidence providing 1-2-1 and small group support
- A patient and positive approach
- Adaptability and a willingness to support pupils' individual needs
