Overview
Teacher Active is seeking passionate and experienced Sports Coaches to work with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Southampton and the surrounding areas. As a Sports Coach in this role, you will lead engaging and inclusive physical activity sessions, while providing personalised support tailored to each student’s needs. You’ll be working with individuals with a range of SEND, including autism (ASD), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), severe and profound learning difficulties (SLD/PMLD), emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), and ADHD.

You’ll be working within SEND provisions and alternative education settings that understand the powerful role sport can play in supporting emotional, social, and behavioural development.

Responsibilities
- Be patient, calm, and empathetic.

- Be able to build rapport with students and help them feel safe and supported.
- Driving is highly desirable due to the location and nature of the role.
Experience in an education or care setting is a bonus, but not essential.
