TeacherActive are currently working in partnership with a Further Education college based in Slough who are seeking to recruit a Carpentry and Multi Skills Lecturer who will be based within their construction department. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced tradespeople looking to move into teaching, or qualified lecturers seeking their next role within Further Education.
We are recruiting lecturers in:
- Carpentry & Joinery
- Multi-skills / Construction Operations
The Role:
- Deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons to learners
- Plan, prepare and assess learning outcomes
- Support and motivate students to achieve their full potential
- Maintain high standards of classroom and workshop management
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Strong industry experience in a construction trade
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) – or willingness to work towards one
- Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or V1 award) – or willingness to work towards one
- Experience of working within vocational area
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
