TeacherActive are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Worker to join our inclusive and supportive team in a Basildon-based school. This is a full-time role, working 5 days a week, where you will play a vital part in helping SEND students thrive in their educational journey.
This role is based in a friendly and welcoming school in Basildon, easily accessible by public transport and car.
As a SEND worker, you will be providing tailored support to students with a range of SEN. A main part of the role is working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement individual educational plans and ensure the best oucomes for each student. The school will be looking for an individual that can foster an inclusive, enaggaing, and supportive learning enviroment.
Are you someone who can adapt to various tasks? You will be required to adapt to different resources and stratergies to meet the needs of each student.
To succeed in this role, you will need:

A genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEND.

Experience in supporting students with special educational needs (preferred but not essential).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A proactive, empathetic, and patient approach to working with children.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing work).
