TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Alternative Provision in Wolverhampton, supporting with their recruitment for a SEND Learning Support Assistant/LSA, who has a strong sports background. The setting is centred on pupil’s development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills.
The school is seeking a passionate team player to take on this Long-term role, with the view of it becoming a permanent placement for the right SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant / LSA will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.
The position will involve working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with diagnosis of Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH), trauma and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children with additional needs
- Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
- A strong sporting background
- Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
