We are working closely with a number of SEMH schools, Pupil Referral Units and Alternative Provisions seeking resilient, adaptable teachers who are passionate about supporting pupils who have faced barriers to mainstream education. This is a highly rewarding role for teachers who thrive in smaller settings and are confident working with challenging behaviour, trauma-informed practice and complex needs.
Responsibilities
- Teaching small classes of pupils with SEMH and additional needs
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and re‑engagement with learning
- Building positive, consistent relationships with pupils
- Working collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams
Qualifications
- Hold QTS or QTLS (essential)
- Have experience working in an SEMH, PRU or Alternative Provision setting (highly desirable)
- Be calm, consistent and confident with behaviour management
- Have a flexible, solution‑focused approach to teaching
