TeacherActive are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English & Media Teacher for a full-time maternity cover opportunity at a well-established secondary school in Swindon, starting January 2027.

The Role
- Deliver engaging English lessons across the secondary curriculum.
- Teach Media Studies as required.
- Plan and deliver creative lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Assess pupil progress and maintain high expectations for achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support teaching and learning.
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching English at secondary level.
- Is confident teaching Media Studies or willing to develop their skills in the subject.
- Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management.
- Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to student progress.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
