The Role
- As an SEN Teacher, you will teach small groups of secondary-aged learners with complex needs.
- Deliver a creative, sensory and differentiated curriculum that promotes engagement, independence and communication.
- Work closely with a strong team of support staff, therapists and senior leaders to meet each student’s EHCP targets.
- Foster a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
The Ideal SEN Teacher
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and previous experience within an SEN or complex needs setting.
- Confident in using communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton or AAC.
- A team player who is proactive, compassionate and resilient.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a child-centred approach.
