The setting provides a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment where babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children are encouraged to explore, develop their independence and grow in confidence.
The nursery takes a child-centred approach to learning and development, with activities and experiences adapted around children's individual interests, abilities and developmental stages. Practitioners are encouraged to make learning engaging and purposeful, giving children opportunities to develop through play, creativity, sensory experiences and exploration.
There is also a strong emphasis on outdoor learning and physical development, giving children regular opportunities to explore, be active and build their confidence in a safe and supportive environment.
TeacherActive is looking for a full-time Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join the setting on a temporary basis, with opportunities for ongoing work.
The successful practitioner will work across the nursery, supporting children at different stages of their early development. You will work alongside an experienced Early Years team to deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework while maintaining a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment.
Your role will include supporting children's learning through purposeful play, encouraging independence and communication, assisting with daily routines and helping children develop the skills and confidence they need as they progress through their Early Years journey.
The successful Level 3 Early Years Practitioner will have:
- Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, Childcare or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 6 months' experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
- Good knowledge of the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Confidence supporting babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children
- The ability to create engaging and age-appropriate learning opportunities
- A caring, enthusiastic and proactive approach to children's development
- The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of an established nursery team
