Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Dartford
TeacherActive is proud to be working with specialist SEN schools based in Dartford, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school focuses on providing a safe and supportive learning environment where students can develop their confidence, emotional wellbeing and academic abilities.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEN Teacher from January 2027 on a full-time, long-term basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful SEN Teacher will be responsible for leading a classroom of students with SEMH needs, planning and delivering effective lessons, managing challenging behaviours and ensuring that all students feel safe, supported and engaged in their learning.
The successful SEN Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Experience planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
