Are you QTS qualified in Maths and experienced with students aged 11–16+? Do you want to work in an inclusive and diverse environment? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary provision based in Smith’s Wood. The school follows a varied curriculum to suit the needs of the young people, with a focus on developing social, emotional, and personal skills. This SEMH provision offers excellent facilities and opportunities inside and outside of lessons to promote student engagement and growth.
The Head Teacher is looking to appoint a driven Maths Teacher with SEMH experience for the full academic year, with potential for a permanent position for the right candidate. The successful candidate will work across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including GCSE exam preparation, and will help students achieve excellent results by following and implementing the schemes of learning.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Maths lessons to students with SEMH needs across KS3/KS4
- Plan and implement schemes of learning in line with school requirements
- Support students to develop mathematical understanding and necessary exam preparation strategies
- Maintain excellent classroom management and inclusive teaching practices
Qualifications
- QTS with Maths specialism (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Experience teaching Maths up to KS3/KS4
- SEMH experience
- Excellent classroom management
