We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their outstanding team.

The Role

  • Supporting students with PMLD, SLD and complex medical needs
  • Assisting with personal care, communication support and sensory-based learning activities
  • Working closely with the class teacher and therapy teams to deliver individualised learning plans
  • Using specialist resources and approaches (e.g., PECs, Makaton, sensory integration)
  • Promoting independence, confidence and emotional well-being in every interaction

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 6 months’ experience working in a UK school setting
  • Strong background supporting students with PMLD and SLD
  • Confidence in assisting with personal care and manual handling (training can be provided)
  • A caring, patient and proactive approach to supporting learning
  • The ability to build strong, positive relationships with both students and staff
