TeacherActive is working closely with a specialist SEN setting in the Padgate area of Warrington to recruit a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex autism. This specialist provision supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, with a strong focus on autism. The school offers a structured, nurturing environment with small class sizes, personalised learning plans, and a multi-disciplinary approach to supporting pupils’ educational, emotional, and social development. Staff work closely as a team to create a calm, supportive, and consistent learning environment.
The role:
- Supporting pupils with complex autism and additional needs
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and regulation
- Assisting with communication, sensory needs, and behaviour support
- Providing personal care, including toileting and hygiene support
- Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience working with complex autism (essential)
