An established Further Education college in Leicester is seeking an experienced Plumbing Assessor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is ideal for a qualified plumbing professional who is passionate about developing learners and supporting them through apprenticeships and vocational qualifications. Working in partnership with TeacherActive, the successful candidate will play a key role in assessing and supporting learners across plumbing and building services programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and support learners working towards plumbing qualifications and apprenticeships
- Conduct workplace and on-site assessments in line with awarding body and industry standards
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records, portfolios, and assessment documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal quality assurance processes, awarding body requirements, and Ofsted standards
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams, employers, and internal stakeholders
- Occupational competence and industry experience within Plumbing, Plumbing and Heating, or Building Services
- Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1, or equivalent)
- Experience assessing in an FE or apprenticeship setting
- Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting learner success
