TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Pupil Referral Unit based in Merthyr, supporting their recruitment for an ALN LSA. This setting provides a structured and supportive environment for young people with behavioural needs, with a strong and experienced team focused on positive outcomes. The school is looking to take on a permanent ALN LSA on a full-time basis, working with pupils aged 11–16 with behavioural needs.
The successful ALN LSA will be expected to support students on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping to manage behaviour and promote engagement in learning.
Requirements:
- Team Teach training
- Experience working within a PRU or supporting young people with behavioural needs
- Strong behaviour management skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students
- Patience, resilience and a proactive approach
